Delivery of dry goods is free over £100.00. If your order includes koi, that shipping is calculated separately.
Delivery and collection
We aim for next working day delivery for most orders placed before 2:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, provided the item is in stock. For live fish, we use a specialised DX overnight courier service, available Monday to Thursday.
While the delivery itself is next day, please note that livestock orders require a minimum of 24 hours' notice before dispatch. Please be aware that all deliveries rely on third-party couriers. While we do our best to ensure timely arrival, we cannot be held liable for any delays. Someone must be present to sign for livestock deliveries.

Returns
At Exclusively Koi, we offer a 28-day return policy on most items, provided they're unused and in their original packaging. Please note that livestock is non-returnable due to biosecurity reasons. Most impressed with Exclusively Koi. Recieved a Columbo pond test kit from them which was sealed and very well wrapped. On opening the inner tray that holds the bottles was very damaged. They offered to replace kit straight away. Customer service second to none. Thank you.

We visited Exclusively koi for the first time today and I cannot praise Kevin enough. He has the highest customer service and is extremely personable and had time to talk to us and gave so much advice and information it was an absolute delight. He knows his subject and is driven by supplying the best quality not only in the fish but also in other stock items and food. The prices were excellent and he is very, very fair and customer oriented. His information was straightforward and honest and I highly recommend Exclusively koi to anyone. We will be going back and Kevin and the team will be our go-to for all our koi needs from now on.

I came across Exclusively Koi by complete chance as i was looking up koi auctions online and I was lucky enough to find Kevin's fantastic koi up for auction. I took part in some of those auctions and was fortunate enough to win some beautiful koi, Kevin has been very helpful throughout the entire process and was happy to keep the koi for me a bit longer to suit my needs. The koi got shipped out on my chosen day and they arrived the next day very safely packaged with plenty of air. Each koi is even more beautiful in person and they're bigger than i expected which is a very pleasant surprise. The koi are currently dealing with some stress from the long journey here but Kevin is very quick to answer any of my questions and offer advice to help the koi get settled in. Very grateful for the great customer service and i can definitely see myself emptying my entire bank account at Exclusively Koi. I decided to attend the national Koi show today, I was pleasantly surprised to see exclusively koi had a stall at the show! Dare I say they had some of the nicest koi for sale but even more importantly the prices were extremely reasonable! If I had the room I would have easily bought several koi. When should I feed Hikari Wheat-Germ koi food?
Hikari Wheat-Germ is your go-to food for cooler water temperatures — autumn, winter, and early spring in the UK. It's designed to be easily digested when your koi's metabolism has slowed down. Feed it from around 5°C upwards, and switch to a higher-protein food like Saki Hikari Growth once temperatures are consistently above 20°C.
What is the protein content of Hikari Wheat-Germ floating pellets?
Hikari Wheat-Germ floating pellets have around 32% crude protein and 4% crude fat. It's deliberately lower in protein than summer foods because koi don't need — and can't properly process — high-protein diets when the water is cold. The wheat germ base provides the energy they need without taxing their digestive system.
Does Hikari Wheat-Germ koi food help prevent bloat and swim bladder problems?
Yes. The high wheat germ content makes it much easier for koi to digest compared to standard pellets. This reduces the risk of bloating and swim bladder issues, which are common problems when koi are fed the wrong type of food in cooler water.
Will Hikari Wheat-Germ floating food cloud my pond water?
No. The floating pellets stay intact on the surface, which means less mess and less impact on water quality. It also makes it easy to see how much your koi are eating, so you can avoid overfeeding.
Does Hikari Wheat-Germ koi food support skin and colour quality?
Yes. The ingredients help give the Shiroji (white areas) a deeper, more translucent look with a nice gloss to it. It's also high in vitamin E, which supports skin health, fertility, and overall condition. Feeding Hikari Wheat-Germ through the colder months sets your koi up nicely for the show season ahead.
How often should I feed Hikari Wheat-Germ floating pellets?
Between 5°C and 18°C, feed no more than twice daily during the warmest part of the day. Below 5°C, stop feeding completely — your koi won't be eating at those temperatures. Always remove uneaten food within three to five minutes.
Can I use Hikari Wheat-Germ koi food all year round?
You can, and some keepers do. It provides solid basic nutrition at any water temperature. But if you want to push growth and colour during the warmer months, you'll get better results by switching to a higher-protein food like Saki Hikari Growth or Colour Enhancing above 20°C, and then coming back to Wheat-Germ when the temperatures drop.
Is Hikari Wheat-Germ floating food a good choice for beginners?
It's a great starting point. It's forgiving, easy to feed, won't cloud your water, and the koi love it. If you're new to koi keeping, Hikari Wheat-Germ is a reliable daily food that keeps things simple while still giving your fish proper nutrition. Get the basics right and build from there.
